Wayside 5k4Kids

Wayside’s 8th Annual 5K4Kids Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in Framigham, MA.Net proceeds from Wayside’s 5K4Kids are used to support children, youth and families across Wayside’s service areas. 100% of the funds raised go to help the kids and families in their own programs. Last year, for example:

  • 76 teens at the Wayside Campus received holidays gifts
  • 138 families got store gift cards for clothing and food
  • 51 young adults were given bus passes
  • 14 children signed up for memberships to the YMCA
  • 40 volunteers at our 24-hour Rape Crisis Hotline were acknowledged with a special dinner

Working To Fight Hunger In Worcester

Kiera Maunsell went door-to-door (to family & friends) seeking donations for the Working To Fight Hunger In Worcester effort. The brothers of Lamdba Chi Alpha & Sigma Alpha Epsilon have partnered with the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, Friendly House of Worcester and local businesses to help the less fortunate families in our community. Over the past 20 years, 1,975,500 lbs of food has been collected to support families in the greater Worcester Area. Kiera also donated items to the Food/Turkey Drive at her school.

Veteran’s Inc. Worcester Clothing Drive

Bridget Maunsell harnessed technology to conduct a clothing drive. Bridget emailed and Facebook messaged her male relatives to donate wearable clothing. Bridget collected the clothing and donated it to Veteran’s Inc in Worcester. Veteran’s Inc is a national leader in ending homelessness among our veterans. Bridget also donated items to the Food/Turkey Drive at her school.
