When Trinity Management sought a cost-effective way to improve safety at Marksdale Gardens, a 178-unit residential community in Boston, they turned to Electronic Security Group (ESG) for an innovative solution. Rising concerns about crime and limited surveillance options made it clear that traditional wired systems weren’t feasible. The Challenge
Marksdale Gardens faced increasing incidents of gun violence, homelessness, and drug-related activity in the surrounding neighborhoods. The property’s multi-building layout—spread across public streets—made running fiber infrastructure too costly and disruptive. Even wireless connections required careful design, as clear lines of sight were needed for reliable performance.

The Solution: Altowav 60GHz Wireless Network
Led by David Belitsky, Client Manager at ESG, the team partnered with Altowav to deploy a 60GHz point-to-point wireless network—a high-speed, low-latency solution ideal for transmitting multiple high-resolution camera feeds across separate buildings.
Key components included:
Six Altowav K60 Bridge Kits (12 total radios), installed approximately 20 feet high on building exteriors
20 Hanwha multi-sensor and dome cameras, totaling 43 video channels
Hanwha WAVE video management system, supported by a BCD server and workstation
Object-based analytics for vehicle and pedestrian detection
Altowav’s Made-in-USA products, local support, and short lead times made deployment efficient and dependable. ESG technicians praised the system’s ease of setup and reliability—calling it one of the simplest wireless installations they had ever completed.
