Emanuel Village is a 75 unit HUD 202/8 subsidized apartment complex built in 1991. It is intended for the very low income elderly and/or mobility impaired, and is nestled in the heart of Quinsigamond Village in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Even though Emanuel village offers a safe, clean complex located in a quiet residential neighborhood, the residents sometimes express concern about who is coming in and out of the building, down the halls, etc.
As a result, the Management Team began looking into improving our security camera system. According to David LaBossiere, “we went from six old black and white cameras to twenty three new high resolution color mini-cameras throughout the common areas of the building.” As a result, David says, “the residents feel safer now that the new system is installed. And as our mission statement says, ‘we …care and serve people in need.’ We wanted to make sure the residents felt safe. Now they know that if they’re concerned, they can come down to the office and we can go back and check the cameras for the area near their apartment. (Usually, what alarmed them was the newspaper being delivered or a neighbor coming in or out of their apartment).”
“Furthermore, the technicians who did the installation were wonderful. Their professionalism was beyond reproach and the quality of their work was outstanding. They were very cooperative with slight changes in the location of a couple of cameras, and very responsive to answering any questions we had. They were also very friendly and courteous. Thank you ESG for your professional, caring staff who helped our staff and residents feel more secure at home!”
“Emanuel Village would like to formally thank Bob Maunsell and his hardworking team from Electronic Security Group for a fantastic security solution. It was a pleasure to work with them on this project.”
